“America’s Oldest Teenager” - Dick Clark began his radio and television career in 1952 when he became the regular substitute host of “Bob Horn’s Bandstand” on WFIL in Philadelphia. In 1956, he became the full-time host. A year later, ABC picked up the show and changed the name to “American Bandstand.”
